EGV, under the purview of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provides a home for individuals from young to adult who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused by their own families or communities.
The program, led by OKBet HR-OD Supervisor Dianne Bautista, aimed to structure OKBet’s efforts to give back to the community and provide positive social value. “It also empowered employees through their donations to leverage corporate resources for a positive impact on the community,” she remarked.
The event commenced with a warm message from OKBet Senior Brand Manager Ralph Tamayo, setting the tone for the day of love and giving.
To bring more smiles to the faces of the facility’s residents, OKBet organized parlor games that heightened the enjoyment and engagement during the event.
After the fun games, packed food was distributed to their seats to ensure everyone enjoyed a delicious meal together.
The highlight of the day was the distribution of gifts, sourced from donations made by OKBet employees from February 1 to 13, 2024. Employees generously contributed pre-loved clothes, blankets and jackets, toiletries, medicines, and various food items.
The program concluded with short remarks from the care facility officer of the day, Ms. Dana Kris, expressing gratitude to OKBet for its dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those at EGV.
Through initiatives like these, OKBet reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. The Valentine’s celebration at Elsie Gaches Village not only brought joy to the residents but also served as a reminder of the importance of spreading love and compassion to those in need.
